This album follows her Grammy-nominated project 'Weird Faith' from 2024 and features collaboration with co-producer Gabe Wax at Infinite Family Studio in Southern California. Diaz describes 'Fatal Optimist' as embodying the inherent hope for something extraordinary despite the risks involved in pursuing love and connection. The lead single, 'Feel Something', is an acoustic folk track that delves into emotional vulnerability and the urgency of longing for lost love. To support the album, Diaz will embark on a North American tour throughout October and November, with tickets going on sale on July 25, 2025.
